How To - Purchase FYI Token

What you can set up in advance (for TGE)

1. $ETH on Base to pay transaction costs (gas fees) (Chain ID 8453, RPC: https://mainnet.base.org/)

2. Make sure you have USDC or ETH in your wallet to buy $FYI

3. Connect your wallet to Uniswap and set your slippage (too low may cause your transaction to fail during high volatility) https://app.uniswap.org/swap

4. Optional (makes buying faster after TGE): You can give prior approval (approve) for a certain amount of ETH or USDC to be used.

   1. How pre-approve works:

   2. Go to Uniswap and connect your wallet.

   3. Select the token you want to use (for example ETH or USDC).

   4. Enter the maximum amount you want to spend and click Approve.

   5. In the wallet popup, you’ll see this amount.

   6. This amount sets the maximum you can use later.

   7. If you want to spend more than you approved, you’ll need to do another approve transaction.

   8. Spending less is always possible.

   9. Confirm the approval transaction. Once confirmed on-chain, your approval is completed.

   10. Note: you don’t execute the swap yet. You only do that at TGE.

Optimizing Gas Fees

For the pre-approve there’s no rush. You can safely use the standard (cheaper) gas fee. For the swap during TGE, speed is important. Choose Market or Aggressive in your wallet when confirming.

1. Metamask advanced: Settings → Advanced → enable “Customize transaction fees.”

2. Setting the Priority Fee a bit higher helps you get included in a block faster.

Beware of Scams

The official contract address of $FYI will only be shared through our official channels (Twitter, Telegram, and Discord).

How to buy $FYI

Before you start:

1. Make sure your wallet is set up on the Base network.

2. Have ETH for gas (we recommend keeping at least $1 in ETH after swaps).

3. Hold $VIRTUAL tokens if you’re swapping on Virtuals.

Option 1: Swap on Virtuals

1. Go to the official $FYI Virtuals link:

2. Connect your wallet to the site.

3. Accept the Virtuals privacy policy.

4. Choose Market or Limit order type.

5. Swap your selected amount $VIRTUAL to $FYI (remember to leave ETH for gas).

Option 2: Base Wallet to swap using a DEX:

1. Sign in to your Base app or browser extension.

2. Select Swap.

3. Select the desired network (Base).

4. Paste the $FYI contract address.

5. Enter the amount.

6. Review the details and select Confirm swap.

Option 3: Swap on Uniswap

1. Go to https://app.uniswap.org/

2. Connect your wallet.

3. Set your network to Base.

4. Paste the official $FYI contract address: (CA) in the “Search tokens” field.

5. Select the amount of $FYI to buy.

6. Approve the transaction in your wallet.

After the Purchase

Once Flagship Web App is live (few hours after TGE), you’ll be able to use your $FYI tokens in the app, including the option to stake them on agents.
